Curried Carrot Ginger Soup

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon cubed onion 
1 cup cubed carrots
3/4 cup sweet potato
1/2 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
1/2 teaspoon fresh grated turmeric 
(Or 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric)
1/2 cup chicken broth 
Pinch of garlic powder or 1/2 a garlic clove
1/2 teaspoon sweet curry powder
Pinch of salt and pepper 
1/2 cup full fat coconut milk 

How to Make: 
  1. Put the onion, carrots, and sweet potato in the steamer basket with ginger and turmeric
  2. Pour water into the tank at level 3
  3. Start the cooking process
  4. When the vegetables are cooked, put them in the blending bowl and set aside the cooking liquid
  5. Add chicken broth, garlic, curry powder, salt and pepper, and coconut milk and blend to a puree
  6. If needed, blend adding some of the cooking liquid to bring to the desired consistency
